I wanted to pre-charge the batteries so I took it out of the package when it arrived and made sure the batteries were fully charged, this would be no big deal but to recharge it you have to take the battery out so it requires that you always have a phillips head handy, once everything is set up and functioning correctly it is a pretty cool toy and works great, it has a long range without losing connection and it flips and goes off-roading with ease, or create an easy open battery compartment for easy swapping of batteries, and fix the remote controller battery compartment so that the controller works out of the box
Her mother also appreciated the gift because the cars and remote control all have rounded edges and no sharp corners, there are no small parts that could be a chocking hazard, and the car's speed isn't too fast so it doesn't hurt even if it accidentally hits her leg or even the cats, it was even fun for the adults to race the cars and bump into each other
This is the best remote control vehicle for the money that I have ever bought, sine we got the remote control vehicle they ripped open the box and we charged it and they haven't stopped since, I can't say enough good things about this remote control vehicle for the price
He saw the remote control car box, it came out of the box ready to go on a partial charge and was quick and responsive on pavement and over a mowed grass field, the range was excellent and the car worked great on all the terrain we tried
Fun and decent battery life but stopped working about a month after purchase ... everything worked including the LR steering but the front back control didn't respond, I first took apart the remote and then took apart the car
