I would have the controller closer to the battery and the extra wire between the controller and the solar panel, there is almost a volt of drop between the controller and the battery giving a false indication of the battery being more charged than it really is, it is not hard to rewire this unit to take this advantage however
I explained that I needed asap and they actually sent out the replacement prior to me sending the defective unit back, once I received the new panel, this panel is easy to use and TSA will allow it through the airport carryon
I'm very pleased with the initial quality of this kit, the fold out legs are a nice added feature and the fact that I can immediately connect this to my extra battery without buying anything else is very nice
I am impressed - this product just looks and feels like quality when I took it out of the box, light weight, folds and zips to easily carry and store and it has a great charge rate
I've been using this device for a while and I love it! The best feature of it is the capability to save the record of the last charge even after unplugging.
